We spent Kayla’s 6-month birthday with Brady’s family for Thanksgiving. Before we left we took some pictures in her chair to compare her size. She is getting cuter and cuter as her personality comes out!
Some new things she is doing:
- Sitting on her own
- Eating rice cereal
- Laughing and squealing
- Blowing bubbles and making the “brrr” sound
- Jumping in her bouncer
- Sucking her thumb
Kayla did okay with the travel. We drove up to Longview Thursday morning (4 hrs) to be with Brady’s mom’s side of the family at Aunt Sally’s. As always, it was very relaxing, and full of delicious food and good company. Becky took some pictures of the group and some of Addisyn and Kayla together. Isn’t Addisyn adorable!?!?
On Saturday we got together with Brady’s Dad’s side of the family. There are 4 (including Kayla) little baby cousin girls that were born all within a few months of each other! It was fun getting them all together so they could meet and play (i.e. poke each other in the face) . We had some good food and caught up with the rest of the family. It was a nice time. Check out this picture of Kayla sizing up her little cousin Addisyn. She doesn’t look scared though.
That top-left picture in the grouping of four pictures instantly got me to thinking, “Every baby was kung-fu fighting…”
Sorry, we missed you guys at church today. (Lisa was sick… how’s that for a change?) Hope you have a great Christmas!

Kayla is so very cute and certainly growing and changing fast. Thanks for the update.
Also, I enjoyed seeing all the other members of Kevin’s family and all those little girls. The cousins should have a lot of fun through the years.
